Happy (day late) Easter!
It’s rare that Easter falls outside of tax season so I decided to take the week to relax and regroup after such a hectic and stressful time. It’s been exactly one week since the passing of our deadline and OMG, has this week has been magical! We were given Friday off to relax and enjoy the long holiday weekend so that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Since I’ve been MIA, I figured I’d share our weekend.
To kick things off, I spent Friday with Francesco just running errands hanging out together. Little man got a haircut, picked out a new spring/summer wardrobe and for being so good, we went on a strawberry doughnut date afterwards. I love the sweet little moments we have together.
Saturday was absolutely crazy! Frank and I spent the day doing yard work and went to the nursery to get new bushes. There were 14 ugly, overgrown, thorny bushes lining our front yard and Francesco loves to play in them and get hurt. We knew that as soon as the weather was nice, those things would get ripped out! It was quite the workout— my whole body is sore and I have a farmers tan. But it was fun getting an education and picking out fresh landscaping for our new home. I can’t wait for everything to grow and pray that we can keep it all alive. Eeeek!
Easter Sunday was nice this year because we decided to have a super simple day and just do brunch in the afternoon. Normally we try to visit both sides of the family and it’s a bit hectic. As we build traditions with our little family, it’s nice to have less planned. This year, we got to sleep in and woke up to Easter Bunny eggs around our house and a basket for Francesco with goodies. We got a little more yard work done and then enjoyed a meal that we didn’t have to cook or clean up with my & my best friend's family. Francesco was terrified of the Easter Bunny, so we also spent most of brunch calming him down. And then we ended the day with Game of Thrones. Anyone else watching?!
Now for another week of playing catch up and hopefully I can get back into my normal routine. I have a few fun things I’ve been working on and hope to share with you all in the next few weeks. Hope everyone had a nice weekend & a very happy Easter!

My outfit was so fun for Easter and the skirt is an Amazon find. It’s so high quality and the color is beautiful. I loved pairing it with this lilac Free People top. Loving spring colors and pastels. Francesco’s outfit was a set by Nautica and I’m linking it below. I mean come on… that pocket square…. OBSESSED!
