Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2019
I’ve been pretty MIA from posting on here due to busy season at work. Tax season is in full swing and I can’t believe it’s already February! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and it just so happens that I’ve bought some of the cutest, most random things that would make great gifts for the occasion. Below are a few suggestions that would work for your loved ones.
For the Makeup Lover
I don’t really get into makeup, but YSL has been hands down, my favorite lipstick EVER. I normally wear this one in Shade 10, but fell in love this with limited edition style and had to try it, too! These lipsticks are definitely a luxury buy, but I love to wear them on a night out. Since we don’t get too many of them, it’s nice to have something extra special. The limited edition style is made with essential oils, so it's really moisturizing for a lipstick and has a glossy look (without being sticky). I got the nude color which is a really nice nude/pink and smells like watermelon. They do not apply as bright as the pictures seem, which is a plus for me.
I’m also a fan of these nail polishes because they look cute on display and have some pretty shades available. They also last on my nails a bit longer than regular nail polish. I have red and pink, and both are so fun for Valentine’s day!
For the Jewelry Lover
For years, I’ve almost exclusively worn silver Tiffany’s jewelry. Being a busy mom, I don’t have time to clean and maintain it as well, so I’ve been switching it up and adding gold into the mix since it's more carefree. I was in desperate need of some earrings so I bought these and these to have some fun with.
I also bought this necklace with the letter “F” on it and it’s so sweet and subtle. The quality is unbeatable for the price and it’s really dainty and simple. It's adjustable to fit either choker style or longer, which I wanted. And a big plus is that it’s 14K gold plated so it should not tarnish.
And I can’t forget about this apple watch band. I’m still loving it! It fits my small wrist perfectly and matches my the series 1 watch better than most other bands while glamming it up for work.
For the Fashion Lover
So this is not something I’ve bought, but it’s on my wishlist. If I could actually get myself to buckle down and do some of the Marie Kondo method, then I probably would buy this and this set. The hearts are so cute on it and Abercrombie PJs last forever and are so cozy. Loungewear makes a great gifts because it’s something you have to wear daily, but don’t want to spend much money on (at least I don’t anyways). It’s nice when someone spoils you with it!
Also, I’ve been super into shoes so that once spring gets here, I’m ready. I got some new white workout shoes and running errand shoes (these run a half size larger, I got them in the light taupe). I also got my favorite wedges in the new style, they do run a half size small.
For the Home Lover
Thanks to the horrific Chicago weather, we’ve been spending a ton of time at home. Putting pictures up around the house has been a fun task for me to do on our days in. I looked around my house and had such a hodge podge of frames that I didn’t love (most of them were gifts so they didn’t match). So I stored them all away and bought these, these, and these. It’s so nice to have some memories to look at around our house in frames that I absolutely LOVE!
I'm also a big fan of this coffee table book. It glams up any room you put it in and has been on my wishlist for years. I was happy to snag one at a decent price point for our bookshelf display. Coffee table books are expensive so they make a great gift!
Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, or something else, hopefully these give you some ideas on what to get your loved ones! Hope everyone finds a fun way to celebrate, no matter how big or small. Our tradition is to order a heart shaped Lou Malnatis pizza & heart shaped Portillo's chocolate cake. We get to stay warm & cozy at home, eating good food and avoiding the crazy restaurants with our wild child.
